Which sports app should I use in Baku?
Pick by the job you need done, not by the brand. Each of these apps does a few things well, and none does everything.
- Book a court or pitch: Book & Play, Challengers, LinkFit (padel venues), RankMate, Meydança (football pitches), or an app from your own club.
- Find players: Flobit, LinkFit, Book & Play and Challengers. For football, AzFut shows games that still have spots.
- Get a rating and play ranked matches: Challengers for tennis and padel, LinkFit and Flobit with a per-sport ELO, and Book & Play with a level that moves with confirmed results.
- Run or enter a tournament: Flobit for organizers, Challengers and Book & Play for tournaments listed in their apps.
- Look up courts, prices and coaches: TennisGo.
Every fact on this page comes from the app's own website or its store listing, read on 11 October 2026. Several of these apps launched in 2026 and update often, so details move. Read the dedicated comparisons for Flobit vs Challengers, Flobit vs LinkFit and Flobit vs Book & Play.
Which apps take court and pitch bookings in Baku?
Several apps book something in Baku, and each covers a different slice.
Book & Play takes bookings across several sports. Its App Store listing says you can "reserve a court or field", and its website says it is live in Baku and adding venues. The website lists tennis, padel, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and squash; badminton on Flobit is coming soon. Players pay nothing extra: the website says there are no booking fees and that court fees are paid directly to the venue, because payment in the app is not available at the moment.
Challengers books courts at partner venues in Baku for tennis and padel, and the same app lists coaches. Its home page says "2+" venues and "5+" coaches, so check that your club is listed.
LinkFit books padel courts at partner venues. Its website lists three, PADELPOINT, The Ritz-Carlton Baku and Top Padel Club Baku, and shows the price and payment method when you book.
Meydança is for football only. Players send a booking request, the venue confirms, and a reminder follows. Opening an account is free, the venue sets the pitch price, and the 1% commission the site mentions is charged to venue owners.
RankMate is for padel and tennis. Its App Store listing says you can "browse partner venues, check live availability, and book your court".
Padel apps. Padel 77 and Padelpoint.az are padel booking apps. Padel 77's listing describes a court reservation platform; Padelpoint.az's also covers training sessions, tournaments and club news.
TennisGo is a directory rather than a booking app: Baku tennis and padel courts with hours, prices, phone numbers and a map, plus coaches. Flobit shows courts on a map with directions, but it does not book them. If you want a court, use one of the apps above or call the club.
Which apps help you find players in Baku?
Most of them do, in different ways. How many people you find depends on who has joined near you, which is true of every app here.
- Flobit. A host posts an open match with the sport, rules, time and a city or venue, and can set a level range. Players within 50 km (5 to 100) ask to join and the host approves each one. A Quick Match code, QR code or link fills a game from your own group chat, and guests don't need an account. There is no automatic matching and no level filter when browsing.
- LinkFit. A social network. Its open games show the sport, time and level with the places left, next to a feed of photos and videos, chat and clubs.
- Book & Play. Open matches "at your level": you can publish your booking as an open match, and the app notifies you when a match opens near you.
- Challengers. Its App Store listing says you can browse players and narrow them by sport, level and availability, then send a challenge. Tennis and padel only.
- AzFut. Football only. It lists amateur games in Baku with spots left, shows the squad's level and lets you take a place without having a team.
- RankMate. An app for padel and tennis with open games you join in one tap.
If your problem is a WhatsApp group that never fills, see how to stop no-shows.
Where can I get a rating or enter a tournament in Baku?
Challengers' listing describes CRX as a score-aware rating for singles, doubles and padel, with live leaderboards, and the 1.5.0 release notes mention tournament pages with waitlists, organizer review of entries and rating limits in NTRP or CRX. Its website, however, lists automatic rating after every match, the Challenge System, bracket tournaments and seasonal leagues with promotion and relegation under "Coming at full launch", so check what is live before you rely on a feature.
Book & Play says your level moves with results that opponents confirm, and a score counts once confirmed or after 48 hours without a dispute. Version 1.1, published on 9 October 2026, added padel and tennis tournaments with partner invites, waitlists, groups, a bracket and score entry.
LinkFit keeps a separate ELO for each sport, weighing your opponents' strength.
RankMate lists 13 levels from 1.0 to 7.0 and tournaments in league, knockout and group-plus-playoff formats, plus a format of its own with continuous matchmaking and tiered Gold, Silver and Bronze playoffs.
Flobit keeps a self-declared level (1.0 to 7.0 for padel and tennis) and a per-sport ELO that moves with confirmed results. Its strength is organizing: single or double elimination, league, group stage plus knockout and Mexicano, with referees, lineups and automatic trophies, free of charge. An entry fee can be shown, but players pay the organizer offline. See tournaments on Flobit.
Ratings from different apps are built differently and don't transfer. A 3.5 in one app says little about another.
What is the best app for amateur football in Baku?
For football, two apps are built around the sport. AzFut lists amateur games in Baku with open places, shows the average level of the squad before you join and splits players into two teams by rating. Meydança books the pitch itself and lets you post a listing when you are short of players. Book & Play and LinkFit also list football among their sports.
Flobit suits a football group that already has its regular game. Football runs as 5-, 7- or 11-a-side with goals and referee events. A host shares a Quick Match code to fill the lineup, and an organizer can run a league or a group stage plus knockout with standings. It doesn't book the pitch, so one routine is to book on Meydança or with the venue and run the game on Flobit. More in Flobit for football.
Where does Flobit fit among Baku's sports apps?
Flobit is made in Baku (Flobit MMC) and is free, with no ads and no subscription; its App Store listing shows optional supporter tips, which unlock no features. It is built for the play rather than the venue: finding players, keeping live scores and running events across eight sports (padel, tennis, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, football, ultimate frisbee and eFootball). The app is in English, Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish and Spanish.
What it does not do matters as much. It does not book courts and takes no payments for courts, entry fees or prizes, so you still reserve with your club or a booking app. It runs on iPhone (iOS 17 or later), Apple Watch and the web at flobit.app, and an Android version is coming soon. And as a newer app, an open match in your district fills only as quickly as people near you use it. Posting a Quick Match code to your own group doesn't depend on that.
What you get in exchange: point-by-point scoring for tennis and padel with spoken score calls, scoring on Apple Watch that works offline, a public live page friends can follow, communities with chat and standings, and tournaments with no fees. The Baku hub collects local venues and events.
Can I use more than one sports app in Baku?
Yes. The apps keep separate accounts and separate ratings, so nothing conflicts.
Three routines that work:
- Book, then fill the game. Reserve the court on Book & Play, Challengers, LinkFit or with the club, then post an open match or a Quick Match code on Flobit for that time.
- Play ranked and social. Use Challengers for rated tennis or padel challenges, and Flobit for the Thursday group, the Mexicano night or a company tournament.
- Football week. Find a game on AzFut, or book a pitch on Meydança and invite your own group through Flobit.
The practical limit is attention: every extra app is another set of notifications. Start with one booking app for your sport, add Flobit if you need players, scores or a bracket, and drop anything you don't open.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best app to find players in Baku?
There isn't one best app. Flobit, LinkFit, Book & Play and Challengers all let you find players, and AzFut does it for football. Flobit is free, covers eight sports and lets the host approve who joins. Challengers suits rated tennis and padel. Which one has players near you depends on who has joined, so check each app's open games before committing.
Which app books padel courts in Baku?
On their own pages, Book & Play, Challengers and LinkFit each book padel courts at partner venues in Baku, RankMate's listing offers booking at partner venues, and Padel 77 and Padelpoint.az are padel booking apps. Flobit doesn't book courts. Which venues each app covers differs, so look for your club in the app before downloading.
Is there a free sports app in Azerbaijan?
Several are free to download. Flobit is free with no ads or subscription (its optional supporter tips unlock no features). Book & Play is free for players with no booking fees, AzFut is free, and Meydança needs only a free account. Flobit is available in English, Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish and Spanish. Challengers lists English, Azerbaijani and Russian, and the websites of LinkFit, Meydança and AzFut offer Azerbaijani, English and Russian. Which sports apps in Azerbaijan have an Android version?

What is the best app for amateur football in Baku?
AzFut is built for joining amateur football games that still have spots, and Meydança for booking the pitch. Flobit suits a group with a regular game: it scores 5-, 7- and 11-a-side football and runs leagues, but it doesn't book pitches. One routine is to book on Meydança and run the game on Flobit.
Is Playtomic available in Baku?
We haven't confirmed which Baku clubs, if any, take bookings through Playtomic. Check its club search for your venue. Local apps such as Book & Play, Challengers and LinkFit list Baku venues on their own pages. See the Flobit vs Playtomic comparison for how the two apps differ.
Where can I find padel courts and prices in Baku?
TennisGo publishes a directory of Baku tennis and padel courts with hours, prices, phone numbers and a map, and it records price changes by date. Prices change often, so confirm with the club. Flobit's venue map shows courts and directions too, but not live prices or bookings.
