Padel app: find players, keep score and run tournaments
In short
Flobit is a free padel app for amateur players. Post an open match to find a fourth within your radius, share a Quick Match code with your regular group, keep live scores with golden point or advantage, and run brackets, leagues or Mexicano nights. It works on iPhone, Apple Watch and the web. It doesn't book courts.

How do I find people to play padel with?
Post an open match, or join one that someone nearby has posted. That is the quickest way to find a fourth on Flobit.
When you post, you choose the time, the city or venue, and the rules (best of 3 or 5 sets, golden point or advantage). Then you decide who can join: anyone, men, women or mixed. You can add a level range on the 1.0–7.0 scale and a note of up to 280 characters, such as "need a fourth, relaxed pace". Players nearby tell you they are interested, and you approve who gets a place. If you set a level range, it is shown on the listing as guidance, and you approve each request.
Browsing is the other half. Filter by sport and by anytime, today or this week, then ask to join a game. The list has no level filter, so read the host's range and note before you ask. The default search radius is 50 km (you can set anything from 5 to 100 km), and a daily digest at 10:00 shows open matches near you. More on open matches.
Two other ways to fill a court:
- A regular group. Start a Quick Match and share the 8-character code, the QR code or the flobit.app/join link. People join as players or as the referee, and guests don't need an account.
- A standing group. Communities add group chat, member standings and a top-players podium.
Flobit helps you find the people, not the court. It doesn't book courts, so book through your club or an app such as Playtomic, then post an open match for that slot.
What padel formats and scoring does Flobit support?
Flobit scores padel point by point, using the rules you pick when you create the match: doubles or singles, best of 3 or 5 sets, golden point or advantage, and a full final set or a super tiebreak.
| Setting | Options in Flobit |
|---|---|
| Play type | Doubles or singles |
| Match length | Best of 3 sets or best of 5 sets |
| At 40–40 | Golden point (the default) or advantage |
| Deciding set | A full final set or a super tiebreak to 10 |
| Tiebreak | Played at 6–6 |
| Scoring | Point by point, with undo |
With golden point, one deciding point settles a game that reaches 40–40, and the receiving pair chooses which side to receive on. The FIP rulebook lists three options: advantage, golden point and the Star Point, which allows two advantages before one deciding point. Premier Padel and FIP tour events have used the Star Point since 2026. Flobit offers golden point and advantage, so a casual game follows whatever your group already plays. The padel scoring guide walks through all three.
Everyone follows along live. The scorer taps each point, and undo fixes a slip. Spoken score calls read the score aloud in English, Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish or Spanish. On iPhone you also get a Live Activity and courtside mode, the Apple Watch app keeps scoring offline, and anyone can open the match's public live page. A finished result confirms automatically after 24 hours, and a casual match can be disputed within that window. See live scoring for the full tour.
What padel level am I?
Pick the rung on the 1.0–7.0 ladder that fits how you play today. Flobit's padel wording follows the LTA's padel rating: 1.0 is just starting out, 3.0 is consistent and starting to play the walls, 4.0 covers the court and knows the tactics, 5.0 is an experienced tournament player, and 6.0 and above is semi-professional or professional. A 3.5 is a player with control from another racket sport who is new to padel. The padel levels guide lists every rung.
Your level is self-declared, so treat it as a starting point. Flobit also keeps a separate padel rating that moves with results:
- It starts between 900 and 1500, based on the level you declared, or at 1000 if you declared none.
- It moves more during your first 10 matches, then settles.
- In doubles, it is measured against the average of your opponents.
- It updates when a result is confirmed and is reversed if the result is disputed.
Hosts use the level range to show the level they want, and the rating tracks how you actually perform over time. After a match you can also rate your opponents' sportsmanship from 1 to 5 stars. That score is separate from skill, can be edited for 48 hours and can be hidden. How ratings work.
Can I run a padel tournament in Flobit?
Yes. Padel tournaments run inside a community, and doubles is the usual play type.
You can pick single elimination, double elimination, a league (round robin, played once or twice), group stage plus knockout, or Mexicano. Tournament formats explains which one fits your numbers.
For entries, you can approve players yourself, keep a waitlist, let people invite a partner, add guests who don't have an account, and set Men, Women, Mixed or Open categories, an age range and a cap of 2 to 512 entries. An entry fee can be shown on the page, but Flobit doesn't collect it, so players pay you offline.
On the day, you can assign up to 20 referees, share the roster as a message formatted for WhatsApp or Telegram, and let entrants reach you by WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, phone or SMS. Share cards and calendar export help spread the word, and winners get trophies automatically.
A community can have up to five tournaments running at once. The tournaments page has the full list of options.
What is the difference between an Americano and a Mexicano?
In an Americano, everyone partners with everyone on a fixed schedule and each player collects their own points. In a Mexicano, the first round is drawn and later rounds follow the standings, so players of similar form share a court and games stay close.
Flobit runs the Mexicano. Players enter one by one, each court seats four, and a Mexicano needs at least four players. You choose:
- the number of courts and rounds, or the club-night preset;
- how a match ends: first to N points, or a combined N where both scores add up to the target (a combined 20 allows 15–5, 12–8 or 10–10);
- the leaderboard: by points scored or by winning margin;
- whether rounds are drawn from the table as you go or planned in advance;
- how partners are picked: random or balanced, with an option to never repeat a partner when rounds are planned in advance.
The organizer can add walk-up guests before the draw, and when the numbers don't divide by four, the sit-outs rotate. Matches are played to a points target rather than in sets.
For an Americano, use the free Americano generator. It builds the schedule for your players and courts, and Flobit itself doesn't run Americano tournaments. The Americano guide and the Mexicano guide help you choose between them.
Where can I learn padel rules, scoring and levels?
Pick the guide that matches what you need:
- New to padel. The padel rules for beginners also cover playing with two players.
- Understanding the score. Padel scoring covers golden point, Star Point, tiebreaks and super tiebreaks.
- Finding your level. The padel levels guide lists the full 1.0–7.0 ladder.
- Organizing a group night. The Americano and Mexicano guides cover player counts and courts.
- Choosing an app. Best padel apps sets out what each app does and what it leaves out, including court booking, which Flobit doesn't offer.
Flobit's job is the people and the score, and it sits comfortably next to whichever booking app your club uses.
