Padel in Baku: where to play, prices and how to find players
In short
Baku has padel courts at eight or more clubs, from Whitestone Towers to Babək Avenue and Nardaran. On 11 October 2026 a court cost roughly 40 to 120 AZN an hour, or 10 to 30 AZN a player when four share it. Reserve with the club, then post an open match in Flobit to find the other three players.
How big is the padel scene in Baku?
Padel in Baku (Bakı) is young and growing. On 11 October 2026 the TennisGo court directory listed nine padel locations at eight clubs, and it marked one of them, Sky Padel, as a new court. TennisGo's own padel guide dates the first visible wave of padel in Baku to 2021–22, when courts appeared in multi-sport venues.
Clubs now offer more than court hire. Padel Center Baku calls itself the city's first fully indoor padel and performance facility and lists beginner sessions, free intro days, group clinics and community matches. Sky Padel's site lists regular tournaments, seasonal leagues and open games, plus an academy with first-hit classes, private lessons and group training.
The city also hosts international padel. FIP Bronze Baku II, an event on the CUPRA FIP Tour, ran from 1 to 5 July 2026 at Sea Breeze Resort, with 8,500 euros in prize money. Nacho Vilariño and Gonzalo Rubio won the men's final 6-4 6-2, and Daria Kucheriavaia and Barbara Las Heras won the women's. An earlier FIP Bronze, played from 9 to 12 April 2026 at Baku Tennis Academy, was the first of the year in the city.
Where can I play padel in Baku?
The table above lists every padel club in Baku we could verify on 11 October 2026. Prices come from the club's own rate card where it publishes one (Padel 77 and Baku Tennis Club) and from TennisGo's directory otherwise. A few things the table doesn't show:
- Two clubs sit on tennis grounds. Casa Padel Baku shares the Baku Tennis Academy address in the 8th microdistrict of Binəqədi, and Baku Tennis Club has two glass-walled padel courts beside its clay courts.
- Padel Point Baku shares Səməd Vurğun 77 with the Tennis.az courts.
- Sea Breeze Resort in Nardaran is the furthest from the centre. It is a resort, so check its hours before you travel.
- The Aquatic Palace (Akademik street 15, Səbail district) is listed on Padel Lands with one padel court. We found no price or booking page for it, so ask the venue.
- Court counts are given only where the club states them: Padel 77 has three and Baku Tennis Club two. Directories disagree about several others, so ask the club if you are planning a tournament.
Club sites in Azerbaijani use the word kort (court): "Kort rezerv et" on the Sky Padel and Padel 77 sites means "book a court".
How much does padel cost in Baku?
A court costs about 40 to 120 AZN for an hour in Baku, as of 11 October 2026. Split four ways that is 10 to 30 AZN a player, going by TennisGo's per-player figures. The price buys the court only, not the extras.
Most clubs charge two rates, a cheaper daytime price and a dearer evening price that starts at 17:00 or 18:00. Weekends are often charged at the evening rate all day. Padel 77 and Baku Tennis Club publish their rate cards. For Sky Padel the figures come from TennisGo's entry:
| Club | Daytime | Evening and weekends |
|---|---|---|
| Padel 77 | 60 AZN, weekdays 10:00–18:00 | 90 AZN, evenings from 18:00 and all weekend |
| Baku Tennis Club | 50 AZN, weekdays until 18:00 (55-minute slot) | 70 AZN, evenings and weekends |
| Sky Padel Baku | 60 AZN until 17:00 | 80 AZN from 17:00 to midnight |
So a weekday daytime game is the cheapest way to try padel. TennisGo notes that indoor courts carry a premium over outdoor ones, because weather won't cancel your game.
What else to expect
- Prepayment and cancellations. Padel 77 confirms a booking only with full prepayment, doesn't refund it, and lets you move a game with at least 24 hours' notice. Baku Tennis Club asks you to cancel by phone at least 24 hours ahead. Padel Center Baku takes bookings online or by phone up to two weeks ahead.
- Rackets. Padel 77 hires rackets for 10 AZN a session. Padel Center Baku hires rackets and balls.
- Lessons. TennisGo's Sky Padel entry lists private lessons from 90 AZN an hour, court included.
- Prices move. TennisGo logged a price rise at Casa Padel Baku on 1 October 2026. Check the rate before you pay.
How do I reserve a padel court in Baku?
Reserve with the club. Padel 77, Padel Center Baku and Sky Padel each have a book-a-court button on their own sites, and the other clubs take bookings by phone or WhatsApp. TennisGo lists the phone numbers and shows live availability for several courts. Challengers (challengers.az) also lists partner courts in Baku. For a comparison of these tools, see sports apps in Azerbaijan.
Flobit doesn't book courts. The order that works is to reserve the court first, then post the game so the other players can find it.
Arrive 5 to 10 minutes early, as Padel 77 asks, and wear sports shoes, which that club requires on court. If you only want to practise, Padel 77 notes that a court can be reserved for two players. A standard game is doubles, two against two.
How do I find people to play padel with in Baku?
Post an open match in Flobit once you have the court. Choose padel, add the club as the venue and the time, and pick who can join: anyone, men, women or mixed. If you want an even game, set a level range on the 1.0 to 7.0 padel scale. It is shown on the listing so players know the level you want, and you approve each request. Players within your search radius, 50 km by default, can ask to join, and you approve each one. Use the 280-character note to say what you need, for example "need two more, intermediate, golden point, rackets available".
For a group that plays every week, start a community or share a Quick Match code in your group chat. Guests don't need an account.
Beyond the app:
- Ask the clubs. Sky Padel lists open games, tournaments and leagues, and Padel Center Baku lists community matches and free intro days.
- Run a Mexicano night. Mexicano suits an evening of mixed levels, and Flobit can run one with a club-night preset. We couldn't verify that any Baku club hosts regular Mexicano nights, so you would organize it yourself: reserve two or more courts and invite your community. For an Americano, use the free Americano generator.
Flobit is made in Baku, and its app speaks Azerbaijani, Russian and English as well as Turkish and Spanish.
What should I know before my first padel game in Baku?
Ask about racket hire when you reserve, and bring sports shoes. Several clubs hire rackets, Padel Center Baku lists beginner sessions and free intro days, and Sky Padel's academy starts with first-hit classes before private and group lessons.
Pick your level honestly. The padel levels guide explains the 1.0 to 7.0 scale, so you can set a range that tells players the level you want. Agree the scoring at 40-40 before you start. Flobit defaults to the golden point, where one deciding point settles the game, and the padel scoring guide and padel rules cover the rest.
Playing outdoors is cheaper, and playing indoors guarantees the game happens. For a bigger picture of the sport in your area, see padel on Flobit and the best padel apps.
