Padel tournaments, leagues and players in the UAE

In short

Amateurs in the UAE can enter the federation's UAE Padel Tour (35 ranking events in 2026). In 2026 the Abu Dhabi Padel League (May to September, with categories including C and D) and Her Padel Series for women (September and early October) have both finished, so watch for their next seasons. Each organiser has its own sign-up, so read the event page. To find players, join a club social or a WhatsApp group, or post an open match in Flobit.

Who runs padel tournaments and leagues in the UAE?

Three layers: a federation tour for rankings, council and commercial events for amateurs, and weekly play run by clubs and groups. Facts below were checked on 2 November 2026.

  • UAE Tennis and Padel Federation. It runs the UAE Padel Tour. The 2026 tour is a calendar of 35 ranking tournaments, opening with "Ellington 2026", with Ellington Properties as title sponsor (WAM reported the launch). Older articles call the body the UAE Padel Association (UAEPA). We could not find one public calendar page, so follow the federation's own channels for dates and entry rules.
  • Abu Dhabi Sports Council. Its Abu Dhabi Padel League 2026 ran eight rounds from 9 May to 6 September 2026 across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. Players collected points round by round, and the ranking was decided at the end. The league is over for 2026. Its winners were named across various categories, including C and D.
  • Commercial series. Her Padel Series UAE 2026 ran women-only amateur qualifiers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai (Dubai on 26 and 27 September 2026), with finals in Dubai on 4 October 2026. The 2026 series has ended.
  • Clubs and venues. Clubs post classes, socials and ladies sessions on Playtomic, a booking app many venues use, and on their own social accounts.
  • Expat social leagues. Duplays runs adult recreational leagues in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its homepage does not list padel, so ask what is on this season.

We found no official, current count of UAE courts or players. Blog figures vary and often have no source, so we do not repeat them.

How do I enter an amateur padel tournament in the UAE?

Find the organiser's event page, check the category, and register there. There is no single UAE-wide sign-up for amateurs: the tour, the Abu Dhabi league and each series publish their own. The two 2026 events below have both finished, but they show what an entry page usually tells you.

Her Padel Series, Dubai qualifierAbu Dhabi Padel League 2026
Dates26–27 September 20269 May to 6 September 2026, 8 rounds
WhoWomen, amateurs aged 18+; professionals and coaches not allowedPlayers in categories including C and D
Format24 teams in 8 groups of 3, then knockouts; one set to 6 games, golden point at deuceCumulative points across rounds
EntryAED 420 per team; registration opened 11 July 2026 and closed on 25 September or when fullNot stated in the announcement

Both use letter categories. On the Her Padel Series page, C is lower intermediate and D is beginner. Labels differ between organisers, so read the description before you enter, and see padel levels for how the scales compare. We could not verify how entry to the UAE Padel Tour works, so ask the federation.

Entry fees are paid to the organiser. Flobit does not collect them.

How do I find padel players in Dubai or Abu Dhabi?

Most people combine three routes: a club or venue social, a WhatsApp group, and an app. People in the UAE do search for "padel whatsapp group dubai", so groups are the default way to find a game.

WhatsApp and Telegram groups work when you are already in the right one. Their weaknesses are the same everywhere: a game request is buried under chat within minutes, nobody lists the level, and there is no record of who showed up.

Club socials and classes. Venues run social rotations, ladies nights and level-based sessions. You turn up, and the host fills the court. This suits a first visit to a new city.

Playtomic is a booking app many venues use, and some list their classes and socials there. It is the right tool for booking.

Flobit open matches cover the part groups handle badly. You book the court with the venue, then post an open match for that time: sport, place, the time, who can join (anyone, men, women or mixed) and an optional level range. The range is guidance only, and you approve each request. Players within 50 km can express interest, and a daily digest at 10:00 lists open matches nearby. There is no automatic matchmaking, and you cannot filter by level when browsing. Share the match card in your WhatsApp group to fill the spots there too. Flobit is new in the UAE, so expect to post the first match yourself. The step-by-step flow is on the open matches page.

Are there women-only padel sessions and tournaments in the UAE?

Yes. Clubs run ladies sessions, and organisers run women-only events. Examples checked on 2 November 2026:

  • Her Padel Series UAE 2026 was a women-only amateur tournament series for players aged 18 and over. Its Dubai qualifier was at Padel Kingdom on 26 and 27 September 2026, and the series has ended for this year.
  • Activ8ME Padel Club lists a women-only "Ladies Social Padel" course on Playtomic, open to all levels, running from 19 September 2026 to 31 May 2027. Check the club for current dates and prices.

Flobit cannot verify whether a venue or session is women-only, so it does not label venues. What it offers is on the player's side. When you post an open match you choose who can join, including women only. When you create a tournament you choose a category: Men, Women, Mixed or Open. The host or organizer still approves entries. See the women's padel guide for more on categories and formats.

What about Ramadan night tournaments and summer heat?

Ramadan play happens at night, and summer play happens indoors. Plan around both.

Ramadan. UAE astronomers expect Ramadan 2027 to begin on Monday 8 February 2027, subject to the official moon sighting (Gulf News, updated 16 October 2026). Ramadan tournaments in the Gulf are played in the evening, after iftar, so late starts are normal. If you run an event, pick a start time and a hard finish time, keep matches short, and tell players the plan early. A Mexicano night suits this: it keeps everyone playing, with sit-outs rotating if the numbers don't divide by four. See the Mexicano guide.

Summer. Dubai's summers push people to indoor courts. In May 2026, What's On listed ten indoor padel venues for the summer, mostly in Al Quoz, with starting prices of about AED 160 to AED 360 per court booking. Padel Point has 5 indoor courts and Oxygen Academy has 7, for example. Prices change, so check the venue.

Flobit does not book courts. Find the indoor venue yourself, then post the match or tournament for that slot. Flobit's venue directory is a map for finding courts and a place to suggest missing ones.

How do I organize my own padel tournament or league in the UAE?

Book the courts first, then fit the format to the hours you have. The full checklist is in how to organize a padel tournament, and the choice between groups, brackets and rotating formats is in tournament formats.

For UAE conditions, three habits help:

  1. Use categories. Letter categories (C and D are common) keep matches even. Offer Men, Women, Mixed or Open as well.
  2. Cap entries and keep a waitlist. Court time is the limit. Dropouts happen, so a waitlist keeps courts full.
  3. Pick a rotating format for mixed levels. Use the free Americano generator or Mexicano generator on the web to print a schedule.

In the Flobit app you can create the tournament as single or double elimination, a league, groups plus a knockout, or Mexicano. You set the cap from 2 to 512 entries, approve entries, use a waitlist and show the entry fee. The fee is displayed only and paid to you directly. Players get a roster message formatted for WhatsApp, and you can add up to 20 referees. See tournaments.

How does Flobit help padel players in the UAE?

Flobit is the layer around the court: it does not replace your venue or Playtomic.

  • Find players: post an open match and approve who joins.
  • Run the event: create a tournament with categories, entries, a waitlist and a live bracket or leaderboard.
  • Score it: point by point with the golden point, undo, and Apple Watch scoring that works offline. Players get a public live page for each match.
  • Keep the group together: a community has chat, standings and a top-players podium. It is closer to a WhatsApp group with a schedule and results.

What it does not do: it does not book courts, collect payments for courts, entry fees or prizes, or match strangers automatically. It runs on iPhone, Apple Watch and the web at flobit.app. Android is coming soon. The app is in English (plus Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish and Spanish), not Arabic. Flobit is free to use and has no ads. Flobit Plus is an optional subscription for advanced stats and a Plus badge, and it gives no advantage in matches or tournaments. For Qatar, read the padel in Qatar guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is the UAE Padel Tour?

It is the circuit of ranking tournaments run by the UAE Tennis and Padel Federation (earlier called the UAE Padel Association). The 2026 tour has 35 tournaments, opening with Ellington 2026, and Ellington Properties is the title sponsor. Check the federation's channels for each event's categories and entry rules.

Where can I find a padel WhatsApp group in Dubai?

Ask at the clubs where you play: groups are usually shared person to person, so we do not list them. People do search for "padel whatsapp group dubai", so groups exist for many areas. Groups rarely list levels, so many players also use club socials or Flobit open matches.

Is there a padel league in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. The Abu Dhabi Sports Council ran the Abu Dhabi Padel League 2026, with eight rounds from 9 May to 6 September 2026 in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. It used a points system, with categories including C and D, and it has finished for this year. Watch the council's channels for the next season.

Can I play padel in the UAE in summer?

Yes, indoors. Many venues in Al Quoz and elsewhere have air-conditioned courts. What's On listed ten indoor venues in May 2026, with starting prices of about AED 160 to AED 360 per court booking. Book with the venue, then post an open match in Flobit for that slot.

Are there women-only padel tournaments in the UAE?

Yes. Her Padel Series UAE 2026 was a women-only amateur series for players aged 18 and over, with a Dubai qualifier on 26 and 27 September 2026 (the series has ended), and clubs run ladies sessions. In Flobit you can set an open match to women only, or choose the Women category for a tournament.

When is Ramadan 2027 in the UAE?

UAE astronomers expect Ramadan to begin on Monday 8 February 2027, but the official date depends on the moon sighting (Gulf News, updated 16 October 2026). Confirm the date a few days ahead.

Can Flobit book a padel court in Dubai?

No. Flobit does not book courts and does not take payments for courts, entry fees or prizes. Book with the venue or an app such as Playtomic, then post the match or tournament in Flobit.

Does the Flobit app work in Arabic?

Not yet. The app is available in English, Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish and Spanish, and there is no Arabic interface. This site has an Arabic version of this guide.
